Under the Umbrella of NLMA: Kibera New Life Church
The Church – A worshiping community of the Lord Jesus Christ that is advancing the kingdom of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
What we do – Worship services, Bible studies, discipleship, member care, community development, and missionary outreach.
About Us – The Kibera New Life Church (KLNC) was founded in 2015 by Julio and Angelica Quirino and a group of like-minded believers who took local initiatives and covenanted to form a congregation to serve the Kibera community. The church has identified many of the needs of the local citizens and responded. Our membership is based on personal faith in Christ. We teach from God’s own Word and encourage members and seekers to develop a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. KNLC is a missionary-minded church, supporting missionaries in other parts of Africa and training many for ministry as well as serving the needs of the residents of Kibera. The church is purposely located in a place that is easily accessible to many of the residents of Kibera.
Julio and Angelica Quirino have been serving the Lord as missionaries for 17 years in Kenya.
Julio from Brazil worked in the mission field in Bolivia for 8 years and Angelica from Bolivia served and planted a ministry with the Street Children.
Their call from God is the proclamation of the gospel to unreached people groups. Their work in Kenya began in 2000 and their ministry in Kibera began in 2009. In 2015 they planted Kibera New Life Church in the outskirts of the slums. Their passion is to see their disciples developing their talents and gifts to serve the Lord in their communities and beyond. They have two children, Raquel (21) and Samuel (17).
